Determination of 7 kinds of polychlorinated biphenyls in ink by gas chromatography with accelerated solvent extraction

Abstract：Gas chromatography method was set up for determining polychlorinated biphenyls(PCBs) in ink products.With the accelerated solvent extraction method as sample pretreatment, the internal standard addition method was used to test the content of PCBs in the ink products by gas chromatography. The experiment was used to optimize the solvent and time of extraction. Moreover, the proof test was taken by test of 7 common PCBs in the ink sample. Under the optimum conditions, the mean recoveries of PCBs in blank sample varied from 91.0% to 97.6%, the relative standard deviations of the determination results were from 5.1% to 8.3%(n=6), and the limit of quantitative (LOQ) of this method were less than 0.03 mg/kg. This method can be applied to determine PCBs in ink, and it is easy to operate with short test time. It has the characteristics of high sensitivity and reproducibility.
